Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using WritingZap ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.

2. Accounts

You must provide accurate information when creating an account. Each account represents one verified human individual. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.

• One account per person; duplicate accounts will be terminated
• You must be at least 18 years old to create an account
• You are responsible for all activity under your account

3. Writer Accounts

Writers use the Platform to create a verified professional portfolio and be discovered by potential clients. The Platform provides tools for profile creation, portfolio management, and job discovery.

4. Employer Accounts

Employers use the Platform to discover writers and post job listings. All job listings are subject to review and must meet our quality standards including fair compensation requirements.

5. Our Role

WritingZap is a portfolio and discovery platform. We are not a marketplace and are not a party to any engagement between writers and clients. We do not process payments between writers and clients, hold escrow, or take commission on work performed. Writers and clients transact directly off-platform.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Misrepresent your identity or qualifications
• Submit content that infringes on others' intellectual property
• Use the Platform for spam, phishing, or fraudulent activity
• Scrape or harvest user data
• Circumvent any security or access controls
• Post job listings that do not meet our compensation floor
• Misdeclare AI assistance on writing samples

7. Subscription Terms

Writer Pro subscriptions are billed monthly ($10/month) or annually ($96/year). You may cancel at any time; access continues through the end of the billing period. See our Billing & Refunds page for details.

8. Content Ownership

You retain ownership of all content you submit. By submitting content, you grant WritingZap a non-exclusive license to display it on the Platform for its intended purpose (portfolio display, job listing, etc.).

9. Moderation

All profiles, writing samples, and job listings are subject to review before publication. We reserve the right to remove content or terminate accounts that violate these terms. See our Moderation Guidelines for details.

10. Limitation of Liability

WritingZap is provided "as is" without warranties. We are not liable for any disputes between writers and clients, loss of business opportunities, or any indirect damages arising from use of the Platform.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time by contacting support.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be communicated via email.

13. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes will be resolved through binding arbitration.
