No. WritingZap never takes a percentage of your project fees or charges placement commissions. Our revenue comes entirely from writer subscriptions and employer job listing fees. When you hire a writer through WritingZap, the financial relationship is entirely between you and the writer.
We don't offer a free trial, but you can start with the Free plan and upgrade to Pro at any time. The Free plan includes everything you need to build a solid profile and start receiving inquiries. Upgrade when you want unlimited samples, featured placement, and analytics. Plus, Pro comes with a 14-day money-back guarantee.
If you cancel your Pro subscription, your account reverts to the Free plan at the end of your current billing period. Your profile and samples remain intact, but only the first 5 samples will be visible in the directory. You can re-subscribe to Pro at any time to restore all features.
We accept all major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express) through our secure payment processor. For annual Pro plans, payment is charged once at the start of the billing cycle.
We currently price each listing individually. If you regularly post multiple positions and would like to discuss volume options, please contact our team and we'll work with you.
If your listing hasn't been published yet, we'll issue a full refund. Once a listing is live and has received applications, we offer prorated refunds on a case-by-case basis. Please reach out to our billing team for assistance.
Both listing types run for 30 days and include editorial review, a full job description, and email notifications when writers apply. Featured listings add priority placement at the top of the job board, a highlighted badge, inclusion in our writer email digest, and social media promotion. Featured listings typically receive 3-5x more applications than Standard listings.
Yes. You can upgrade from Free to Pro at any time, and your new features activate immediately. If you downgrade, you keep Pro access through the end of your current billing period. Your profile and all uploaded samples are preserved regardless of which plan you're on.
