SEO Technical Content Writer

Cubbit is seeking an experienced SEO Technical Content Writer to support its marketing team through a long-term freelance collaboration.

The role involves developing well-researched, technically accurate, and search-optimized content for enterprise technology professionals, including IT decision-makers, infrastructure engineers, and service providers.

The ideal candidate should understand complex technology subjects and explain them in a clear, engaging manner without excessive promotional language. Content should address genuine industry challenges, answer technical questions, and help potential customers make informed purchasing decisions.

You will collaborate with an established SEO team that provides strategic guidance while taking responsibility for producing high-quality content that performs in search engines and supports business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

1. Technical Content Development

Research, plan, and create technical articles covering enterprise technology and infrastructure. Content formats will include practical tutorials, product comparisons, architectural guides, technical explainers, and business-focused technology resources.

The writing should address different stages of the customer journey, particularly the consideration and decision stages.

2. SEO and Answer Engine Optimization

Produce content based on SEO briefs while contributing independent research, recommendations, and editorial improvements.

Optimize content for traditional search engines as well as AI-powered discovery platforms, including ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Gemini, and Google AI Overviews.

Ensure that articles provide clear answers, credible information, and useful technical explanations rather than relying solely on keyword placement.

3. Enterprise and Service Provider Content

Create content that supports two main commercial audiences: enterprises evaluating infrastructure solutions and IT service providers looking to improve their offerings and business profitability.

Understand the concerns of technical evaluators, senior IT managers, and other stakeholders involved in enterprise purchasing decisions.

4. Content Repurposing

Adapt long-form technical articles into additional marketing materials, such as downloadable guides, LinkedIn content, presentation slides, search-friendly visuals, and email campaigns.

Maintain technical accuracy and consistent messaging while adapting content to different communication channels.

5. Technical Research and Accuracy

Develop a strong understanding of cloud infrastructure, object storage, file storage, block storage, Kubernetes, and related enterprise technologies.

Translate complex technical information into accessible content without oversimplifying important details. Understand the practical problems readers are trying to solve and address them with relevant explanations.

6. Content Quality and Performance

Produce original, useful, and well-structured content that technical professionals can confidently reference and share with colleagues.

Contribute to content that improves organic visibility, attracts relevant prospects, and supports lead generation and enterprise sales.

Required Qualifications

• Professional writing experience: At least four years of experience producing technical content for B2B enterprise audiences, supported by a portfolio of published work.
• Technical understanding: Strong knowledge of enterprise IT infrastructure, cloud architecture, and storage technologies, particularly object, file, and block storage.
• SEO and AEO expertise: Demonstrated experience creating content that performs in organic search, improves discoverability, and contributes to qualified lead generation.
• Content marketing knowledge: Understanding of how search-focused content supports account-based marketing (ABM), enterprise sales, and broader customer acquisition strategies.
• Editorial judgment: Ability to identify worthwhile subjects, evaluate technical information, and produce meaningful content rather than articles written only to target keywords.
• Independent project management: Strong organizational skills, consistent delivery, effective communication, and the ability to manage assignments with limited supervision.
• Responsible AI usage: Familiarity with AI-assisted research and writing tools, combined with the ability to independently verify information and maintain originality, accuracy, and editorial quality.
• English proficiency: Excellent written English, with native-level fluency or an equivalent professional standard.

Preferred Skills

Candidates with additional experience in the following areas will have an advantage:

• Native-level Italian proficiency, particularly for translating or adapting existing content and preparing Italian-language LinkedIn posts.
• Experience conducting independent keyword research, competitor assessments, and search engine results page (SERP) analysis.
• Familiarity with SEO platforms such as Ahrefs, Serpstat, or comparable research and analytics tools.
• Previous experience working with technology startups or rapidly growing companies.
• A professional background in software engineering, cloud infrastructure, development, or related technical disciplines.
