Lingo.dev is looking for a Senior Content Engineer who can combine technical storytelling, content marketing, and AI-driven automation to grow the company's presence across developer communities and search platforms.
This isn't a traditional content writing position focused solely on producing blog posts. The role involves building a complete content operation, covering research, technical writing, search optimization, publishing automation, distribution, and performance measurement.
The successful candidate will work closely with founders and engineers, turning technical developments, product updates, and original research into content that attracts developers and contributes to business growth.
What You'll Be Working OnThe Senior Content Engineer will take ownership of content projects from the initial idea through publication and performance evaluation.
1. Technical Content and Research- Produce detailed technical articles, developer tutorials, research reports, newsletters, product announcements, and educational resources.
- Interview engineers, founders, and customers to develop original content supported by practical experience and technical evidence.
- Explain subjects such as artificial intelligence, retrieval-augmented generation, localization systems, and developer workflows in clear, technically accurate language.
- Identify relevant technical discussions, emerging trends, and research opportunities that can support the company's content strategy.
- Build a consistent publishing presence across the company blog, LinkedIn, Reddit, Hacker News, Dev.to, and email newsletters.
- Adapt technical content for different audiences and platforms without sacrificing accuracy or editorial quality.
- Develop SEO and Generative Engine Optimization strategies to improve visibility across traditional search engines and AI-powered discovery tools.
- Track the impact of published content through keyword rankings, backlinks, traffic, AI citations, and customer signups.
- Use AI tools, including Claude, Claude Code, and Claude Cowork, to support research, content development, editing, and publishing operations.
- Create scripts, templates, and automated workflows that reduce repetitive production tasks.
- Improve the speed and consistency of content publishing through AI-assisted coding and workflow optimization.
- Monitor organic marketing results and support paid acquisition campaigns, including Google Ads, where required.
Lingo.dev needs someone who understands both technical subjects and the mechanics of digital content distribution.
Strong writing skills are essential, but the position also requires technical confidence and an ability to work independently.
Candidates should bring:
- A strong portfolio of published technical writing, particularly content covering software development, artificial intelligence, or developer tools.
- Experience producing research-backed articles, tutorials, technical explainers, or newsletters for knowledgeable audiences.
- Practical knowledge of SEO, content analytics, keyword research, and AI search visibility.
- Hands-on experience with tools such as Claude, Ahrefs, Semrush, and Google Search Console.
- Familiarity with scripting, AI-assisted coding, or content automation systems.
- The ability to interview technical specialists and turn detailed conversations into useful, original content.
- Experience promoting content through developer communities, professional networks, and search platforms.
- Strong project ownership, editorial judgment, and the ability to manage work without detailed instructions.
Candidates who have built a recognized technical newsletter, published widely shared developer articles, or developed successful content programs for technical products may be particularly well suited to the role.
Experience in developer-focused SaaS marketing, original research publishing, technical video production, or creating demonstration projects would also be valuable.
The company is looking for evidence of actual results. A portfolio showing audience growth, strong search performance, industry engagement, or measurable customer acquisition will be more useful than a collection of articles without performance context.
