Job Overview
Brafton is hiring a Junior SEO Strategist to support its SEO Consulting team. The position involves assisting senior strategists with keyword research, website audits, SEO reporting, content optimization, and search performance analysis.
The ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of SEO fundamentals, analytical skills, and an interest in emerging search technologies, including AI-powered search engines and Google's AI Overviews.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct keyword research and identify content opportunities to improve organic search visibility.
- Assist senior SEO strategists with website audits, performance reports, and SEO recommendations.
- Analyze website performance using Google Analytics and other SEO tools.
- Implement on-page SEO improvements, including content optimization and keyword mapping.
- Support strategies to improve brand visibility in Google's AI Overviews and generative search engines.
- Optimize website content and structure for search engines and AI crawlers.
- Track brand mentions, citations, and visibility across AI-powered search platforms.
- Collaborate with internal teams and participate in client meetings and presentations.
- Monitor SEO developments and apply relevant industry best practices.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- At least 1–2 years of experience in SEO, preferably within a digital marketing agency.
- Strong understanding of on-page SEO, technical SEO, keyword research, and search engine ranking factors.
- Familiarity with Google Analytics and SEO reporting techniques.
- Experience using SEO platforms such as SEMrush, Screaming Frog, Sistrix, DeepCrawl, and GTmetrix.
- Intermediate knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, particularly their impact on SEO.
- Proficiency in Google Workspace, Microsoft Excel, and Google Sheets.
- Ability to prepare professional reports and presentations using PowerPoint or Google Slides.
- Strong analytical, communication, organization, and project management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines.
Additional Skills
- Understanding of AI search optimization and Google's AI Overviews.
- Familiarity with website architecture, semantic content optimization, and AI crawler accessibility.
- Experience tracking brand visibility and citations in generative search results.
- Confidence communicating SEO findings during client-facing meetings.
Work Arrangement
This is a full-time remote contractor position in India, with Delhi listed as the job location. Candidates must have their own suitable computer equipment and a stable internet connection.
