This position is suited to an experienced copywriter who can develop strong creative concepts, guide messaging, and connect individual deliverables to larger brand and campaign goals.

The Copy Supervisor will take ownership of multiple assignments while maintaining a clear and consistent creative voice.

Beyond executing briefs, the role involves contributing ideas, strengthening strategic thinking, and recognizing opportunities to improve the work when the original direction can be pushed further.

A solid understanding of agency workflows is also important. This includes experience with internal routing processes, medical and legal review, regulatory considerations, and adapting larger campaign concepts across individual tactics.

The position reports to an Associate Creative Director.

Key Responsibilities1. Creative Project Management
  • Manage several creative assignments at once, keeping projects organized and ensuring agreed deadlines and deliverables are met.
2. Long-Form Content Development
  • Independently develop substantial long-form content, including websites, interactive visual aids, campaign materials, and other detailed communications.
3. Scriptwriting and Multimedia Content
  • Create scripts and copy for video, digital media, and multimedia projects with a strong sense of narrative and storytelling.
4. Creative Concept Development
  • Participate actively in concept development, from early-stage brainstorming through hands-on execution.
5. Strategic Creative Thinking
  • Recognize opportunities to push beyond the original brief when doing so can strengthen the creative idea or strategic direction.
6. Brand and Campaign Alignment
  • Ensure individual assets support broader brand positioning, campaign strategy, and communication objectives.
7. Brand Voice and Messaging Consistency
  • Maintain a distinctive and consistent brand voice across different formats, platforms, and customer touchpoints.
8. Art Direction and Creative Collaboration
  • Partner closely with art directors to ensure visual concepts and written messaging work together effectively.
9. Audience Engagement Planning
  • Contribute to tactical and engagement planning by suggesting ideas that improve how audiences interact with campaign materials.
10. Brand Impact and Creative Evaluation
  • Evaluate how copy decisions, revisions, and creative concepts may affect the broader perception of the brand.
11. Client Presentations and Communication
  • Present concepts and completed work to clients clearly, confidently, and with appropriate strategic reasoning.
12. Independent Campaign Execution
  • Independently handle smaller projects or specific components of larger campaigns, including digital banners and campaign extensions.
13. Feedback and Content Revisions
  • Respond constructively to feedback and incorporate revisions efficiently while limiting unnecessary rounds of changes.
14. Creative Strategy and Rationale
  • Explain the strategic and creative reasoning behind copy choices when discussing work with internal teams or clients.

  • Proven ability to develop concepts and execute both long-form copy and multimedia content.
  • A well-developed writing style with consistent storytelling and brand-voice capabilities.
  • Ability to manage competing assignments and tight deadlines without sacrificing accuracy or creative quality.
  • Working knowledge of scientific and regulatory requirements relevant to healthcare communications.
  • Ability to correctly handle areas such as references, annotations, supporting evidence, context, and balanced presentation of information where required.
  • Experience partnering with art directors as well as strategy, account, medical, regulatory, and other cross-functional teams.
